#fridayreads - July 1st, 2016

Happy Friday! And for all of my Canadian followers - Happy Canada Day! It is so relaxing to have a day off of work, but the weather has been between rain and sun so I am spending the day inside. I am back to work every day until next wednesday, but thought it would be nice to tell you what I am currently reading!

I am somehow in the middle of three books, the first of which being an ebook I was sent for review. I am about 30% through The Summer That Melted Everything and am quite enjoying it so far. It is very different from other novels that I have read, but is not one that I can fly through. I am hoping to have it done either tonight or tomorrow after work.

I am currently reading The Picture of Dorian Gray with my mom, so that we can discuss our feelings after finishing each chapter. I am only about 10% through with this, but enjoying his writing. It had been a little while since I had picked up a classic, and this is one I have been wanting to read for many years. I love reading books alongside my mom because it adds so much more to the experience for me.

And finally, last night I started listening to the audiobook of Twilight. I recently rewatched the movie adaptation, and did not enjoy it as much as I remembered. I have been wanting to reread these series because I have not read them since I was in the eighth grade. So far I am happy to be enjoying them in a different format, but the story is not as captivating as I remembered loving.

I really want to finish two of these three by Monday, since that kicks off our AYearAThon theme of TBR catch-up! What are your reading plans for the weekend? Let me know!
